intriguing lisaWithout Your Health, You Have Nothing

Health is not only important to me, it's vital. That means eating nutritious balanced meals, drinking plenty of water, and getting regular exercise. For me, it's a privledge being able to work out with my trainer, Tommy Europe. The workouts are challenging but the full body movements really maximize the results that I get and are the most efficient use of my exercise time.

If Music Be The Food Of Love, Play On...

Perhaps it stems from a dance background, but music is almost like breathing to me. The soundtrack to my life is diverse ranging from classical, rock, pop, rap, hip hop and everything in between. What I listen to depends on what happens to match my mood and moves my soul.

Clothes Make The Woman

Well, the woman makes the woman, but every woman does loves to look beautiful. And great clothes do help. I've been fortunate enough to meet some amazing and talented designers, some of my favorites include the following. To get in touch with my inner goddess and flaunt it, Malene Grotrian, for their eco-chic designs, Flora and Fauna and for stylish jewlery to spice up any outfit, Angelfish Designs.

Word Hard, Play Harder

Living life to the fullest of potential, taking risks and laughing often are key to all aspects of leading a successful life. Being the consummate athlete, in my down time, I prefer to chill by hanging at the beach for a jog or heading for the hills for a hike or snowshoeing to get in touch with nature, blasting down the slopes while skiing, getting the body moving with various martial arts and dance. To keep it fresh, I love to try something new, for instance my latest ventures have been tennis and roller blading. But nothing beats curling up with a cup of tea and a good book or dvd on rainy days.

We Don't Inherit The Earth From Our Ancestors, We Borrow It From Our Children

We only have one planet so I do what I can to minimize my ecological footprint. Some of my favorite ways to conserve and preserve the environment are:

  • Opt for a reusable drink container. Rarely am I without my Don't Be Koi water bottle by Fill Your Own.
  • When shopping use reusable bags.
  • Walk whenever possible; it's great for the environment and your body.
  • Recycle, reduce, re-use at home, at work, at play.
  • Turn off electronic devices when not in use.
  • Eat seasonal locally grown organic foods.
  • Polish tarnished jewelry with toothpaste.
  • Supporting green businesses where available.
  • Remember every day is Earth Day.
